Baked Shrimp / Timbre Coup Halloween Party

Baked Shrimp, the high-octane progressive fusion trio, has emerged as a young rising powerhouse in the festival circuit. Hailing from Long Island, NY, Jared Cowen (Guitar/Vocals), Scott Reill (Bass/Vocals), and Jager Soss (Drums/Vocals) showcase their energetic and improvisational talents, transforming their three-piece sound into a symphonic experience. The band had a groundbreaking year in 2022, performing over 120 concerts across the United States and making their debut in Canada. As 2023 unfolds, their success is set to soar even higher.

Kicking off the year with an electrifying show supporting the Disco Biscuits, Baked Shrimp embarked on a massive headlining Spring Tour. The trio is also slated to make their festival debuts at prestigious events like Peach Music Festival, Summer Camp Music Festival, Strange Creek Camp Out, and Northlands Live. In July, they will take the main stage at their hometown event, the Great South Bay Music Festival, where they will share the spotlight with Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead. Baked Shrimp has garnered additional recognition by providing direct support for acclaimed artists such as Pink Talking Fish, Dopapod, Aqueous, Mihali (from Twiddle), and Kung Fu. Notably, the band hosts their own festival in Upstate New York called LonCon, created as a tribute to their most devoted supporter and ambassador, Lon “Conscious” Gellman. LonCon features live music, art, and two nights of camping, and plans are underway to bring the festival back in 2024.

Timbre Coup was formed in 2007 just outside Albany, NY in the town of Altamont. After many years and hundreds of shows alongside bands like The New Deal, Dopapod, Papadosio, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and Consider the Source among others along with festival appearances at such events as Camp Bisco X 2, Moedown and Mountain Jam Timbre Coup brings a little something for everyone. With dynamic compositions, melodic and haunting vocals as well as slick chops this quartet entertains with a fervor.

After a brief hiatus between 2014-2018 the band sought other projects including jam projects Mister F and Lord Electro among others. This time away allowed more time for family and time to keep up with life. In 2018 Timbre Coup began playing and preparing for live shows again, and on March 2, 2019 the band made its triumphant return in front of a near sold out crowd at The Hollow in Albany, NY. There is a live album available from this performance on all streaming platforms and it marked the return of the band to the stage. Timbre Coup started recording for a 4th original album in 2020 and released “Sudden Urge” in June 2021, a collection of old unrecorded and new songs for the band’s fourth studio release.

Other notable appearances include Summer Camp Festival, Snowdown, Catskill Chill, and The Big Up X 3 along with many private and smaller events over the years. Timbre Coup possesses a deep catalog of eclectic music that’s ready to be executed live and with natural energy. “This band excels live,” says Dan Gerken, longtime singer, multi-instrumentalist and founding member back to 2007. “These songs were meant to be played in a live setting, and as much as I love the studio versions the true life of this band is on stage.”
