NYC’s Brad Brose & His Bad Bros update the retro nostalgia of Django-style jazz from the ’30s with an electric and eclectic vibe. If you’re a fan of fabulous musicianship, this is a don’t-miss show! Band leader and guitarist Brad Brose trained in Paris, where he played with the Gypsy originators of this irresistible style. He brought what he learned back to NYC, forming this high-energy, international ensemble that absolutely tears it up with intricate arrangements and fiery improvisation. French violinist Adrien Chevalier is the band’s Stephane Grappelli, infusing the music with a continental elegance. Israeli percussionist Uri Zelig gives the band a hard-charging vibe with his full kit. Seattle’s Abe Pollack holds it all together with his upright bass.
