Troy, NY’s Candy Ambulance play “grungy rock from upstate NY.” They are Jesse Bolduc (bass), Jon Cantiello (drums) and Caitlin Barker (guitar, vocals). Formed in 2014, the trio have been honing their songwriting and touring around in a Toyota Corolla these past 7 years.

Then there’s BattleaXXX, an Albany-based female hard rock trio bent on world domination.

You’ve also got Pencildive, a indie/post-punk band with upstate roots, now based in Crooklyn.
