Dead On Live

Based on their unique approach of recreating, literally note for note all instruments including the lush vocal harmonies as heard on the classic recordings of the 70’s, Dead On Live has quickly become recognized nationally as one of the top acts to pay tribute to the music of the American treasure known as the Grateful Dead.

Dead On Live is thrilled to make their Cohoes Music Hall debut and, making full use of the historic venue’s dance floor, will feature the most fun, finest, dancin’est Dead tunes in their vast catalog. From early burners like “Beat It On Down the Line” and “Big River”, 70s rockers “Bertha”, “Big Railroad Blues” to the syncopated complex rhythms of “Estimated Prophet” (C’mon, dare ya to dance in 7!) and the driving “Touch of Grey”. Slow dance to soulful Jerry tunes “Ship Of Fools” and “Stella Blue”.

Multi-instrumentalist, touring and recording veteran, Marc Muller (Bruce Springsteen, Shania Twain, Tommy Shaw) has assembled a cast of world class musicians featuring local PA Bob Weir “Ace” Jimmy McGuigan, Keith clone John Pittas, Paul Avrutin tackling the rootless syncopation of Phil’s idiosyncratic bass lines and the deep grooves of Dave Anthony.  There’s always lots of good old, Dead-inspired jamming to be had in every show. With much “deadication” these musicians come together to present their truly unique, note-for-note offering, performing the music of the Dead, absolutely “Dead On – live”!
