Elvis Costello – ‘My Aim Is True’ – Rochmon Record Club

Rochmon Record Club will converge Live at Caffe Lena, to listen to, and learn about, Elvis Costello’s 1977 debut album My Aim Is True. In the mid 70’s D.P. Costello was part of the up and rising group of artists on the Stiff Label. D.P. had little success in Britain but played anywhere and everywhere he could. A quick name change (in honor of Elvis Presley) and with Stiff label mate Nick Lowe producing, 40-plus years later Elvis Costello has never looked back. Filled with classic songs, “Miracle Man,” “Welcome to the Working Week”, “(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes”, “Less Than Zero”, “Watching the Detectives”, the classic “Alison” and more, “My Aim Is True” is a brilliant debut album from an artist who never disappoints. Doors open at 6:30, the show begins at 7pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian, aka “Rochmon.”
