Fandom Fest 2022 is the newest fan event in the Northeast. As celebration of all fandoms (or as many as they can fit!), Fandom Fest 2022 will allow guests to share the love they have for their favorite show, game or movie with new fans, young and old.
Fandom Fest 2022 will take place Aug. 12-14. 2022 at Proctors, 432 State St., Schenectady. All four floors and over 12 unique on-site locations will feature Fandom Fest 2022 events.
Friday (Aug. 12) hours: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday (Aug. 13) hours: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday (Aug. 14) hours: 10 a.m. – 5 pm.

Twist is the participants are in costume and are the character they are dressed as! Hosted by Magical Lee! (this is purely for the amusement and entertainment of the participants and audience. Belle (2021) – Suzu is a shy high school student living in a rural village. For years, she has only been a shadow of herself. But when she enters “U”, a massive virtual world, she escapes into her online persona as Belle, a globally-beloved singer. Mamoru Hosoda’s animated film Belle, a modern reimagining of “Beauty and the Beast,” sees an outcast by the name of Suzu, discovering community and love on a virtual reality platform called U. Through lush graphics, Hosoda’s fairytale charts the highs and lows of online stardom, and how we act out our innermost selves in the safety of an online world rather than at the behest of a crueler, realer universe.

Panda! Go Panda! Mimiko is a cheerful young girl who is left on her own while her grandmother is away. When little Panny Panda and his father Papanda stumble into her home, Mimiko welcomes them in as her new family. Adventures ensue as Mimiko discovers the challenges of taking care of her new cuddly friends. Directed by Isao Takahata and based on a concept by Hayao Miyazaki, Panda! Go Panda! is a charming early-career classic from two animation legends before they co-founded the award-winning Studio Ghibli.

Movie Theatre
Visit the Addy Theatre on the 3rd floor to view one of the classic movies or TV shows playing throughout the weekend. These movies are open to all guests!
The Dragon Dungeon
Deep underground lies a treasure trove of tabletop texts, perfect for your perusal. If you were ever interested in trying out D&D, Pathfinder or Pathfinder II, grab a table full of friends, some character sheets off of the stack and one of the modules off the rack and see what all the fun is about. Tables and modules will be available for new players up to 2 hours before scheduled events in The Dragon’s Dungeon.
Beware travelers, for when events are scheduled the space transforms! It becomes a single table where players and DM do their best to delight the dragon (and audience) with their roleplaying in prestige sessions that are less out-of-the-box with thick and winding plots! Sign up information for both players and audience will be announced once our DMs have confirmed their one-shots, watch this page for more details.
