Jay Collins is a multi-instrumentalist whose skills and sound are the very essence of solid musicianship. Whether fronting his own band, The Northern Resistance, on lead vocals and sax, or blowing his horn behind Gregg Allman, Little Feat, Donald Fagen, or Levon Helm, Collins always delivers. He’s played on two Grammy-winning recordings with Levon Helm, a platinum-selling DVD with the Allman Brothers Band (Live at the Beacon Theater), and was featured on horns and arrangements for the Grammy-nominated recording with Gregg Allman, “Southern Blood” (2017).

With his band the Northern Resistance, Jay Collins mixes jazz, soul, New Orleans rhythms, and blues with a distinct and irresistible funk appeal. The Northern Resistance is the definition of a supergroup, made up of the finest young rock and roll players in the Catskill region.
