JJ Savage (w/ Gus Unplugged)

Formed and fronted by 24 year old guitarist / vocalist JJ Savage, JJ is joined by metal legends Michael Butler (Exodus) and Andy Galeon (Death Angel). The band recently recorded a collection of hard rock tunes exemplifying the power of this three-piece unit and featuring the single “Close The Curtain”. Blending modern pop sensibility with blazing old school metal, the band enjoys a unique sound and hyper intense live performance. JJ announced publicly in 2023 he joined forces with Ashley Purdy (Black Veil Brides) & looks forward to touring with Ashley. The team is working on a full length album, coming out of the nations music capital, Nashville, TN. Savage took off after his release, “Junkyard Dogs” hit #9 on Global Rock Radio charts under Universal Music Group. Savage is now signed with Sony/The Orachard/The Studio.

JJ Savage is an impressive young guitarist born in Albany, NY. JJ started playing guitar and performing live at the ripe age of 10, quickly gaining support from his hometown.

Savage started expanding his support system after touring and supporting bands such as such DORO, Jack Russell’s Great White, Michael Angelo Batio and members of Ex Kiss member Ace Frehley’s project, Frehleys Comet. JJ disbanded with his first touring band VICE in 2018, later starting a new band self titled “JJ Savage”. This group has featured Cordell Crocket of Ugly Kid Joe for multiple events in Hollywood CA at the Whisky A Go Go and continues to perform for the “Hate On This” 2019 summer tour, while recording a debut album.

On January 25, 2019,  JJ was presented with the Ronnie Montrose Rock The Nation Award—founded by Guardians of Guitar founder Michael Molenda and Leighsa Montrose—that honors young guitarists during the annual Ronnie Montrose Remembered concert at the M3 Theater in Anaheim, CA. Following the presentation, he performed “Paper Money” with Frank Hannon (Tesla), Andrew Freeman, Brad Lang, and Jason Heartless.
