May 18 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$25Celebrate Spring with Mayflower Moonbeams, the third installment in the Jive Hive Live Series, featuring another triple bill of incredible Capital Region musicians. Mayflower Moonbeams event features Reese Fulmer & The Carriage House Band, Zan & The Winter Folk, and Hold on Honeys.
HOLD ON HONEYS – Hold On Honeys is an indie folk minimalist vocal trio based in Troy, NY offering tight knit harmonies to nourish the soul & invigorate the senses and is made up of Emily Curro, Raya Malcolm, Shannon Rafferty, Connor Armbruster, Michael Gregg, and Matt Malone.
ZAN & THE WINTER FOLK – Zan & The Winter Folk is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Zan Strumfeld. Formerly a solo performer, Strumfeld carved her own niche of winter folk—anthems for the revivalists, lullabies for the lonely, ballads for the hopeful. In 2017, she brought together an eclectic group of musicians with wide ranging influences, from folk to bluegrass to jazz to rock. Paired with Strumfeld’s seductive vulnerability and soulful lyrics, The Winter Folk creates a unique and captivating sound in both their recordings and live performances. Since forming, they were named “2018’s Best Folk Band” by The Alt and nominated for “Folk Artist of the Year” at the 2019 Capital Region Eddies Awards.
REESE FULMER & THE CARRIAGE HOUSE BAND – If you ask Reese about himself, he’ll tell you he’s a brand new soul. But his songs tell a different story, with a clear eye and poetic touch, of a conduit to something much older and deeper. With a fluid lineup of versatile and talented players in his Carriage House Band, Reese’s music is reminiscent of the early work of Josh Ritter or Iron & Wine. They were recognized as the 2023 Americana Artist of the Year at the Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards.
