Nothing But Trouble (1991)

Dan Aykroyd directs himself, John Candy, Chevy Chase, Demi Moore and – in his motion picture debut – Tupac Shakur (as a member of the Digital Underground crew). This comedy has a reputation for being a bit of a mess, and we won’t argue otherwise, but what an insanely jaw-dropping mess it is! Think of this as “National Lampoon’s Vacation” if Clark Griswold ditched his family, took a left turn at “Beetlejuice,” and inadvertently drove his associates into a wilderness trap where the “Texas Chainsaw” family and the backwoods boys from “Deliverance” hold court. As with other ICFS events, expect prizes, surprises, comfy couches and – because you’ll need it – a convenient bar! Rated PG-13. 94 mins.
