On Tuesday, April 16 Rochmon Record Club will converge Live at Caffè Lena to listen to, and learn about, Harry Nilsson’s Grammy nominated 7th studio album, Nilsson Schmilsson. Doors open at 6:30, and the show begins at 7 pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon.”
Harry Nilsson possessed one of the smoothest and finest voices in Rock & Roll. A friend of the Beatles, Harry released his first album in 1967 and by 1971 his songwriting and humorous approach to difficult subjects had matured. Nilsson Schmilsson, Harry’s best-selling album, features the Nilsson classics, “Gotta Get Up,” “Without You” (written by Pete Ham & Tom Evans of Badfinger), “Coconut,” “The Moonbeam Song,” “Jump Into The Fire” and 5 more. As always Rochmon will have some surprises in store! For Rochmaniacs at a distance, Rochmon Record Club will be streaming live on CaffeLenaTV.
A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, songs and the stories that went into the making of this classic album. By listening together, we hear the music again for the first time.
