Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable (for other Saratoga Comic Con tickets of equal, lower or higher value). Ticket only valid on NOV. 12-13, 2022.

“All purchased tickets will automatically be honored in the event of a postponement or reschedule. Event may be postponed with a date of “TBD” until a suitable replacement can be found. In the event of an official cancellation of the event by the organizer, refunds will be initiated at that time.”

COSPLAY CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS

–Contestants may enter in either one of two categories, Adult (SATURDAY ONLY CONTEST) or Youth (SUNDAY ONLY CONTEST).

–ADULT 17 AND UP -4:40PM-5:45PM 11/12/22

–YOUTH 16 AND UNDER -3PM-4:15PM 11/13/22

–YOU CAN SIGN UP AT THE CON AT THE TICKET TABLE IN THE FRONT, NO FEE.

–TO WIN THE BEST GROUP COSPLAY YOU MAY ALSO MIX AGES WITH ADULTS AND KIDS. YOU MUST BE A GROUP THOUGH. (EXAMPLE: ADULTS CONTEST CAN HAVE ADULTS AND KIDS IN THE GROUP, BUT CAN ONLY WIN THE BEST GROUP AWARD AND VISA-VERSA WITH THE KIDS COSPLAY CONTEST).

–A sheet will be given to you to be filled out at the front desk (by the ticket tables) please take your sheet with you for the walk-on at the actual Cosplay Contest (GET THERE 10 MINUTES EARLY).

–NO PRE-JUDGING! Saratoga Comic Con and it’s community don’t believe in someone prejudging your cosplay. Your cosplay is your cosplay and the 4 professional judges will decide on stage. We will begin lining up outside the panel room 20 minutes prior to the actual cosplay contest event. Roll will be called and we will get you into a specific order.

–During the event itself, you will be required to get on stage to show off your costume. You can do this in a number of ways, and it is up to you how creative you get. (Specify Walk on or Skit during online sign ups, please) However, we do ask that you limit your performance to NO MORE THAN 1 MINUTES. If you exceed that time limit, you will be asked to stop immediately.

–You will be allowed to be judged as an individual or as a group, but please specify ahead of time which you will be competing as.

–The judges will be awarding prizes on each day (Youth and Adult contests) as follows:

–All contestants will be ranked on a scale of 1-5 for each area; Craftsmanship, Performance and Accuracy. The judges will compare scores and an average will be taken of their various scores, and prizes will be awarded based on these.

–NO SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS OF ANY KIND ARE TO BE MADE DURING THE COSPLAY CONTEST OR ANY PANELS.

SMALL RULES TO FOLLOW

To Cosplayers, no ‘real weapons’ meaning sharp edged objects made of any metals. Plastic, rubber, fake weapons are fine, no problems there. No Nudity! Shirts off on males is fine. Scantily clad is fine (yeah that means underwear if your costume calls for it), just no nudies and no to just tape on nipples. Weapons will be checked at the door. No big rules, just follow the basic ones
