$21.82Stand-Up Science is a show that’s equal measures hilarious, educational and deeply personal. NYC based scientist turned stand-up comedian Ben Miller takes you on a journey that explores everything from milk to thermodynamics with a wit and humor that makes these topics both approachable and delightful. And you probably like that sort of thing, nerd.
Come see Stand-Up Science at the Madison Theater in Albany after its sold-out run at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Hosted by Dan Frank.
Ben Miller is an NYC based comedian who has been working for the past 6 years. In that time, he has performed at all the top clubs in the city such as Broadway Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, Carolines, and The Stand. In addition, he has performed in the New York Comedy Festival and Boston Comedy Festival. He is currently ranked as the top roast battler in NYC. He has a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, worked on a science bus, 3D printed cookies and has diffused a few bar fights while on stage. In 2023, he was an Artist in Residence at Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, the first ever stand-up comedian selected by the National Parks Arts Foundation. His jokes are sharp and self-deprecating, and he was once called “one of NYC’s best pound-for-pound joke writers” which isn’t saying much considering how little he weighs.
Dan Frank is a queer comic from NYC who has been featured at the Tiny Cupboard Penthouse Festival, GEM Fest, PN & Friends, and toured for the musical/comedy act Queer MF across the Southwest/West Coasts. His comedy mostly deals with his family, his experiences from pretending to be straight, and how everyone thinks he’s related to Anne Frank.
