The Bear Bones Project / The Hawthornes
March 4, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$16.93The Bear Bones Project is a five-piece rock band formed in 2009. Combining decades of musical experience influenced by rock, blues, reggae, folk, bluegrass, jazz and jam, the Bear Bones Project offers a rich blend of styles and instrumentation in delivering their original material. The live experience includes rarely heard covers, and featuring extended jams. The twin lead guitars and vocals of Carey Ahner and Pete O’Hearn color the sound with iridescent nuances of tone. Bill Decker and Bob Assini hold down the rhythm on bass and drums. Sandy Decker rounds out the sound with accordion and flute, and also adds percussion and vocals to the recipe. The result is a musical jambalaya that leaves you wanting a second helping.
Formed in 2021, the Hawthornes is a group of established Capital Region musicians with decades of musical verve. They played their very first gig at the Hollow to a sold-out crowd. For their return to the Hollow, the Hawthornes will feature Laura Paigo/vocals/percussion, Jeff Sohn/bass/vocals, Andy Hearn/drums/vocals, Peter O’Hearn/rhythm guitar/vocals and Bert Pagano/lead guitar/vocals. The band plays an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary pop music featuring the songs of Linda Rondstat, Bonnie Raitt, the Carpenters and Neil Young alongside contemporary artists like Little Big Town, Amy Winehouse and Lukas Nelson.
