The Benjamin X. Rowe Project Memorial Show w/ Escuela Grind, Halo Bite, CPS, Flatwounds, Dogpisser

Pittsfield, MA hardcore/grindcore upstarts Escuela Grind headline the The Benjamin X Rowe Project Memorial Show at Empire Underground in Albany, NY, with special guests Halo Bite, CPS, Flatwounds, and Dogpisser.

In Benjamin Xavier Rowe’s memory, the The Benjamin X. Rowe Project was established to provide artists and musicians the resources needed to express themselves while also providing community members opportunities to congregate in safe, loving, and accepting environments.

The Foundation has provided a “Sound Library”, including instruments, sound and other equipment for use by Albany-area musicians and bands, providing them with more opportunities to hone their skills and perform.

There have been several small benefit shows and there is a larger memorial benefit show planned for 1/6/24 featuring local Capitol Region musicians providing exposure, publicity, and awareness.

Donations and support go directly toward supplying the sound library, helping local musicians, and supporting necessary causes that work toward the prevention of gun violence and organizations that promote LGBTQIA+ acceptance and awareness.

Started by his mother, and with the support of family and friends, the Project’s mission is to honor the memory of Benjamin X. Rowe, a dynamic and extraordinary young man whose life was tragically cut short at the age of 25 on 6/25/23. Inspired by Benjamin’s passion for music and his invaluable contributions to the Albany music community, the foundation strives to carry forward his work and create opportunities for aspiring musicians and artists to express themselves.

The Project is dedicated to preserving Benjamin’s legacy by fostering a safe, accepting, and loving environment where artists can showcase their talents and community members can come together.

Through its initiatives, the project strives to uphold Benjamin’s unwavering commitment to providing a welcoming space for all individuals to congregate, connect, and celebrate artistic expression.

Ultimately, The Benjamin X. Rowe Project aims to honor Benjamin’s spirit, keep his passion for music alive, and leave a lasting impact on the arts community by nurturing and empowering the next generation of talented individuals.
