The musical creativity of Rolling Stone’s founding member, Brian Jones, was essential to the band’s early success, yet—like Pink Floyd’s Syd Barrett—this pied piper’s excesses ultimately led to his ouster from the band. Combining amazing, never-before-seen footage of early Stones performances, with candid interviews from all essential performers, director Nick Broomfield (Kurt and Courtney; Marianne and Leonard) adds another revealing, must-see rock doc to his esteemed resume.
As with other ICFS events, expect prizes, surprises, comfy sofas and a convenient bar.
