The Vagina Monologues

Join YWCA NorthEastern NY on Thursday, September 29th for a fun night out as community leaders come together to present a performance of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues in the GE Theatre at Proctors to benefit YWCA NENY’s Domestic Violence Support Services.

Doors open at 6PM – come early for some pre-show fun including raffles, a cash bar, photo ops, giveaways, and more!

Show starts at 7PM with host Jen McMullen. Watch as familiar faces from the Capital Region perform The Vagina Monologues, Eve Ensler’s powerful collection of monologues from women around the world. The monologues explore sexual experiences, body image, reproduction encounters, sex work, and several other topics through the eyes of women of all ages, races, sexualities, and beyond.

The New York Times hailed the play as “the most important piece of political theater of the last decade” and now YWCA NENY is back again staging this performance in honor of women everywhere with a whole new cast. All funds raised will directly benefit YWCA’s domestic violence programs and women & family services. We join together in the global movement working to end violence against women and girls.
