He is the winner of Bass Player magazine’s readers’ poll three times and remains the only person to have won it more than once. He has released multiple solo recordings, and has won five Grammy awards. He has anchored the otherworldly music of Bela Fleck & The Flecktones since 1988. He plays everything from jazz to funk to R&B to bluegrass to a fusion of them all.
