SUMMARY:One Day of Peace and Music
DESCRIPTION:In 1969\, the iconic Woodstock music festival took place not far from the Capital Region in Bethel\, NY. Nearly half a million people gathered for three days on a dairy farm\, witnessing now-legendary performances in celebration of peace\, love and counterculture. Attendees gathered in opposition of the Vietnam War and the general political turmoil of the time. \nHere in 2026\, we find ourselves in yet another politically and socially tumultuous time. A time when musicians across the country are doing what they do best: making art and speaking truth to power. It is with this spirit in mind that promoter Keith Morales (No One You Know Presents) and musician TJ Foster (E.R.I.E.) put their heads together and began organizing a local version of the classic\, protest festival format to raise money for an important local cause. On March 22\, the 518’s “One Day of Peace and Music” will take place at Lost & Found in Downtown Albany\, sponsored by WEXT Radio and featuring performances from over a dozen local artists. \nThe lineup includes surf-rockers The Sugar Hold\, hip-hop extraordinaire JB!! aka Dirty Moses\, indie/folk duos Question of the Century and Horsegrenades\, master of ceremonies DJ Fearless\, and songwriters James Mullen\, Sydney Worthley\, TJ Foster\, Girl Love\, Caity Gallagher\, Andy Scullin\, Chris Gockley\, Nocturnne\, Simon Elijah\, and Lucas Garrett.

SUMMARY:Ulrika Spacek (w/ Bruiser and Bicycle\, Gray Monitor)
DESCRIPTION:Ulrika Spacek – https://ulrikaspacek.bandcamp.com \nUlrika Spacek are an English alternative rock band formed in 2014 based in London. Despite formation in Berlin in Spring ’14 the band relocated to Homerton\, East London where they completed the debut album at a shared house named KEN. Soon after saw the formation of ‘Oysterland’\, a self-curated night that combined the band’s earliest live performances with a series of art exhibitions. They released “The Album Paranoia” in February 2016 .
Second album “Modern English Decoration” followed in June 2017\, previewing songs via the answering machine of KEN. Initial copies of the album on vinyl came with a bonus 7″\, which neglected to include a tracklisting. One of the tracks was later confirmed to be a cover version of a song by Parsley Sounds entitled Ease Yourself And Glide. Commenting on plans for forthcoming releases\, frontman Rhys Edwards stated that “We see our first two albums as brother and sister records and think it will be nice to leave them both out there for a little while before we think about putting out another record”.
On 10th March 2023 the band announced long awaited third album ’Compact Trauma’ due for release 10th March. Recording of the album began at KEN in 2018 but following the loss of the band’s hub was completed in various locations across a 4 year period. The record stands as a next chapter\, a culmination of new ideas and combined sound of the first two records and the bands Suggestive Listening E.P.
